Alice
Kozlowska
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Great Exhibition of Bees, textile artist Alicja Kozłowska has created a unique work – an embroidery depicting a wild bee. The piece captivates with its meticulous attention to detail and masterful combination of diverse materials, a hallmark of the artist’s work for years. Every element of the composition reflects both her technical precision and artistic sensitivity.
Alicja Kozłowska, renowned for her original works that merge contemporary art with traditional craftsmanship, has earned international recognition, with exhibitions across Europe and beyond. Her pieces have been shown in museums and galleries in the Netherlands, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Poland. In 2021, she received the prestigious Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery, and in the following years she was awarded art scholarships and invited to participate in international art programs, representing Poland among distinguished creators.
Ultimately, the painting will go to an auction, from which 100% of the income will support activities for wild bees and caring for natural biodiversity.
