How long does a honeybee live? How many flowers does it visit to collect just a teaspoon of honey? What is honey, and how important is it in the human diet? How many queens can one hive hold? Is there really only one queen?

There are so many questions, and discovering the answers is incredibly fascinating. It fascinates me a lot, and I hope it will interest you too. Why? Because bees are the most important creatures on Earth, thanks to which we owe the possibility of life on our beautiful planet.

Bees are the primary and most important pollinators in the world. They pollinate plants in the most efficient, fastest, and most accurate way. To this day, no machine or technology can replace the work of bees. It is thanks to their pollination that we have crops, harvests, and a full fridge.

That is why the project Together for Bees is dedicated to education, because I strongly believe that it is the best way to support bees, take care of them, and, very importantly, know how not to interfere with them.

That is why I initiated the creation of the Bee Center, where we will educate about bees, beekeeping, support bees, and much more, step by step, which we will develop.

For the Bee Center to be established, I need your support. The collaboration of many hands, like the bees that support each other and build a greater whole. That is exactly how we will try to build the Bee Center, which will serve us all—TOGETHER. The Bee Center will be established on the grounds of the Pociechom Foundation in Warsaw, where we already have three hives and an educational pedestal, and we have also planted a beautiful garden to ensure biodiversity.

As part of Together for Bees, the first bee lecture was held on September 15, which initiated further meetings and workshops dedicated to gaining knowledge about bees and beekeeping.

I had the great pleasure of welcoming my guests at the Pociechom Foundation and discussing together the role of bees in the environment, the situation of bees in times of climate crisis, and all aspects related to our common goal—supporting bees!

In the role of my expert, I had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Marek Bogusz, who runs his own apiary and oversees the bees on the grounds of the Foundation. Mr. Marek literally enchanted the audience, including myself, with his incredible knowledge. We listened to many facts about bees and interesting tidbits. We also had the opportunity to take a very close look at the structure of the hive and see a swarm, in which we managed to find the queen bee, tightly surrounded by her worker bees.

During our meeting, I presented a collection of artistic bees created by the amazing artists supporting the project. I would like to sincerely thank the artists Pola Dwurnik and Magdalena Pankiewicz for attending the lecture and making our meeting even more special.

A huge thank you for organizing the meeting goes to Loft Kulinarny, a brand that I have the great pleasure of co-creating, working on artisanal products and functional art in harmony with nature. Loft Kulinarny provided a tasting of delicacies and a presentation of honeys during the lecture, allowing everyone to try and explore the differences between the various types of honey.

The Loft Kulinarny brand has adopted the artistic bee by Pola Dwurnik, placing the bee illustration on a natural tablecloth and on delicious honey florentine cookies. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of products featuring the bee will be donated by Loft Kulinarny to the construction of the Bee Center.
