Thanks to the generosity of the Bee Patrons involved in the Together for Bees – Let’s Do It Together for the Beescampaign, the Łąka Foundation carried out a series of initiatives in May 2025 to support wild bees and local biodiversity. This report shows that through joint effort, we can truly transform the landscape – for the benefit of pollinators, birds, plants, and people. All donations were received by the Łąka Foundation.
What we achieved:
300 m² of Flower Meadow
On a former farmland area, we sowed a meadow composed exclusively of native, perennial plant species. Over the past few years, we have collected seeds locally – from nearby meadows and wild areas. The result? A place full of life, color, and nourishment for pollinators.
Over 30 Old Apple Tree Varieties
Boskoop, Golden Reinette, Ananas Berżeniecki – these and other traditional apple tree varieties were planted with wild pollinators and the local community in mind. These trees bloom beautifully, provide shade, and bear healthy, delicious fruit.
300 Honey-yielding Shrubs in Hedgerows
Along the field edge and in the demonstration garden, we planted over 15 shrub species such as sea buckthorn, rowan, guelder rose, and elderberry. These are green feeding corridors for pollinators in spring and summer and a source of food for birds in autumn.
“Błoto” Farm – A Demonstration and Educational Center
All the projects are part of the demonstration farm Błoto, which is visited by green space professionals and enthusiasts – including landscape architects and green area managers from all over Poland. These efforts therefore also serve educational and inspirational purposes.
Thank you to the Bee Patrons for supporting our efforts in 2024!
All of this was made possible thanks to the proceeds from the sale of Together for Bees products, through which Patrons donated 15% of their profits to the Łąka Foundation. Your involvement genuinely supports wild bees and biodiversity.
